MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO APPLY:
1. Must pay application fee of $10.00. This fee must be paid the same day the application is submitted.
2. Must be a high school graduate or completion of a GED.
3. Must have passed and completed one (1) full credit hour of Algebra - high school or post secondary school. **see note**
4. Proof of the requirements above will be verified by an official transcript from schools or agencies of higher education. The forms will be provided to the applicant by our office.
5. Must possess a valid state driver's license. No other ID will be accepted.
6. Applicants must submit work history documentation
7. All applications must be completed at our training center located at 950 Ohio Street, Terre Haute, Indiana.
Applicants must have all documentation and fees paid within thirty (30) days after the completion of the application.
AFTER THE APPLICATION HAS BEEN SUBMITTED:
After all the above requirements have been met, a written exam ( once monthly ) will be scheduled.
The test will consist of Algebra and Reading Comprehension. The test will take two (2) and one half (1/2) hours to complete.
ONCE THE APPLICANT PASSES THE TEST:
Provided that the applicant has passed the test, the interview will be scheduled ( by-monthly). The interviewers will consist of three (3) local National Electrical Contracting Association (NECA) members and three (3) International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 725 members. These members have been appointed as the Joint Electrical Apprenticeship Committee by their respective agencies for the Terre Haute local jurisdiction.

NO ALGEBRA?
If you have not completed one (1) full credit of Algebra I or higher, to date, you do not meet the minimum application qualifications for the Terre Haute Electrical Apprenticeship Program. If you remain interested in the apprenticeship program, you must first complete a one (1) credit hour Algebra course through a local college or your local Continuing Adult Education services. One, and only one additional option ito meet the math requirement is to complete the online Tech Math course through the National Joint Apprentice Training Committee ( NJATC ).(Click on the link to the left.) After completion of either of the above courses, you must have an official transcript provided to us prior to making application.
